Garden Group

Sadly the long running Ocean Shores Gardening Club no longer exists. Some of our U3A members miss the continual learning, sharing of seeds and cuttings and the inspiration that comes from viewing each other’s gardens. To overcome this void we started up a simplified version of the old Garden Club, this time under the auspices of U3A. Meetings are held monthly, in each other’s homes. 

We take a stroll around the garden, maybe taking cuttings and sharing seedlings, maybe offering praise, information or advice. After this we have afternoon tea and a discussion about the day’s garden and/or gardening in general. We all share our thought about the host garden, in particular its highlights. No garden is too small or too fancy. It’s about sharing plants and ideas.
